Lawrence Robert Stracuzza passed away at the age of 72 on March 11, 2017. He was born February 1, 1945 in Manhattan, New York but lived most of his life in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Larry was many things to many people. During his life, he worked as a shoe salesmen, a speech therapy instructor, a police officer (Plantation and Davie), a jeweler, a financial advisor, and fundraiser for the Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to being a leader, provider, role model and teacher, he was a source of strength and joy to those that knew him. Larry was always quick with a joke or a story, but most of all a song. He loved to sing. He enjoyed a lot of music, but his favorite was 50's and 60's doo-wop. Larry loved the ocean and spending time fishing and cruising with his friends and family. He enjoyed travelling, especially to England and Europe. Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra, his son Marc, his daughter-in-law, and his two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 PM, on Thursday, March 16, 2016 in Kraeer Funeral Home in Margate, Florida. The service will be held at 7 PM. Flowers or donations to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue of Palm Beach, Florida are appreciated.
